Every summer, schools across the country celebrate and raise funds for their school with their annual summer fayres.
This year one small village school has offered their pupils the opportunity to showcase their enterprising ideas and business skills with their very own stalls at its upcoming summer fayre next week.
Nestled in the Shropshire countryside, Crudgington Primary School is holding its Summer Fayre on Monday 15th July and amongst the fun and games, food and entertainment and external stall holders of local businesses, a group of pupils from the school will be running their own businesses too.
The invitation went out to all pupils of the school offering them the opportunity to have their own stall at a reduced rate and they will get to keep their own profits.
“We are delighted with the uptake” says Friends of Crudgington volunteer Nicola Rust, “With 9 stalls signed up so far that is incredible for a school of just over 100 pupils.”
The children have been busy preparing for their stalls which include a lemonade stall, handmade garden creations, homemade dog treats, bubble tea, toys, a 3D printed game, handmade soaps, jewellery, crystals and pre-loved clothing.
“Their business ideas and creativity are really exciting and varied and we can’t wait to showcase their enterprising talents” she continues. “If it works well we would love to be able to do it again at other events or even hold a dedicated event.”
The fayre will take place on Monday 15th July from 2.30pm – 5.00pm at Crudgington Primary School which is situated along the A442 in Telford.
Everyone is welcome with free entry and a range of fun attractions, special guest visits, fayre games, food, grand prizes, lots of local business stalls and of course the pupils with their own business ventures. It’s set to be a fun afternoon for all ages!
