Give back

Get into governance

Give back with the Learning Community Trust and make a difference in your local community!

We believe

In great governance

Give back with the Learning Community Trust and make a difference in your local community!

At the Learning Community Trust, we believe in representative governance and having Members, Trustees and Governors that reflect the communities they serve is of vital importance to us.  If you are interested in being part of making a difference to the lives of our young people, their families and the local community, get in touch by completing the online form and a member of the Governance Team will be in touch to talk about our current and upcoming opportunities.

There are no experience or qualification requirements for being a Member, Trustee or Governor but we do ask that you are committed to undertaking your mandatory training, be able to give your time for meetings/occasional school visits and be prepared to provide both support and challenge to our senior leaders.

These roles are all voluntary and therefore are unpaid positions; however, we have policies and procedures in place for claiming necessary expenditure incurred in order to carry out their governance duties.

Developing or expanding your career in governance

Due to the growth of the Trust, we are seeking to appoint new clerks to our Governance team as soon as possible on a casual basis.  We are looking for organised and proactive individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, high attention to detail and experience of minute taking.  If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, complete the form below and our Head of Governance & Corporate Support will get in touch with you to arrange a discussion.
