Collaboration hubs and forums
The professional learning team support and work with all trust staff to support their professional development.
Collaboration
Collaboration hub model
The power of Learning Community Trust academy improvement is the strength of the academies and the personnel within them. The vast expertise that is working within our vision means that through collaboration, the support of each leadership area, or subject, is robustly enhanced through working relationships.
Learning Community Trust collaboration hubs bring our leaders from Primary, Secondary, Special and PRU together. Leaders meetings will be held regularly throughout the year and are linked to all subjects, whole academy focuses and areas such as safeguarding, and careers. In addition, our hub approach extends to responsive CPD that drives our leaders to be at the forefront of education practice. National changes to policy, criteria or Learning Community Trust expectation result in these bespoke hub meetings taking place where, through a collaborative approach, clear direction is provided.
Our leaders meet on a regular basis with agreed agendas to ensure that sessions focus on the key areas. The impact of the collaboration model is that our staff feel part of a team and don’t work in isolation to solve the areas of development within their academy.
All of these programmes are co-ordinated by the Professional Learning Team and external partners. The model for delivery varies from half to full day delivery with a number of sessions delivered outside of the school day. Sessions can be accessed through TEAMs but will always be ‘live’ presentations so the principles of collaboration can be supported.

Trust Quality of education leads forum
The quality of education team consists of senior leaders with responsibility for the intent, implementation and impact in all of our academies. This group is key to driving the direction of the Trust quality of education approach and work at a high level to embed systems into all academies. This dynamic groups meet every half term.
Attendance and welfare team
The Learning Community Trust believes that academic and individual successes can only be achieved if a child is safe and happy. We are so tremendously proud of our Attendance and Welfare team offer as it works tirelessly to support our children and their families so they can access and enjoy their education. Our centralised team of education welfare officers, counsellors and mentors offer services to our academies as part of the core package and work within the pastoral teams to ensure that the wellbeing of our students is being supported.
Early careers framework forum
The Trust values the importance of new staff into the profession and as a result invests heavily in an Early Careers Framework (ECF) programme through Best Practice. Led by the Professional Learning ECF lead centrally, as well as lead practitioners for each academy, we provide a wide variety of training throughout the early stages of careers.
We want to retain staff in the profession and support them to become great teachers. Each Academy also has its own programme of mentoring and support for Early Career staff to meet the requirements of their training.
Recognition of outstanding practice within the Learning Community Trust
Within a academy improvement model that is primarily focusing on identified internal best practice, there is a need to celebrate outstanding performance that has led to high quality impact. Identification for celebration is initially localised within peers, students and community through a range of strategies such as emails, newsletters and Learning Community Trust awards.
Wider recognition at regional and national levels through the promotion of Learning Community Trust practice within conferences and links with external providers is essential to continue the drive to excellence.
