Our primary academies

Still places to start September!

The Learning Community Trust runs more than a dozen schools across Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.

This includes five primary schools – Wrekin View in Wellington, Hadley Learning Community, Lantern Academy at Ketley Bank, Crudgington, and the new school at Allscott Meads.

The multi-academy trust spans education for children and young people from the age of 2-16, and up to 25 years old in specialist settings.

Ofsted has visited several of the Trust’s schools over the past few months, and given glowing reviews.

At Wrekin View, for example, the most recent report said children in the early years foundation stage got off to a great start, with a strong focus on language, communication, and foundational skills.

Early reading provision was described as ‘exceptionally well taught’, with pupils achieving high standards of fluency and comprehension.

Fiona Atherton, Wrekin View’s headteacher, said: “We are proud of the inclusive, diverse and aspirational environment we provide. We look forward to building on these strengths to ensure all our children continue to flourish.”

Learning in the classroom is vitally important at the Trust’s primary schools – but so are the broad enrichment programme, including clubs like choir, dance, and sports, which help pupils to discover new talents.

“We believe that all students should have access to an outstanding education, enabling them to learn, develop and flourish, preparing them for their futures,” the Trust says.

“We celebrate equality, diversity, inclusivity and individuality – because we believe that we have far more in common than that which divides us.”
