The Learning Community Trust is proud to announce a groundbreaking partnership with Unstoppable Learning, marking a major step forward in our commitment to raising standards in mathematics across all our secondary academies.

On Tuesday 7 October, we hosted our first-ever gathering of mathematics teachers from all five secondary schools within the Trust at Hadley Learning Community. This landmark event launched our collaboration with Unstoppable Learning, an organisation co-founded by Kris Boulton and Naveen Rizvi, renowned for its evidence-based approach to transforming maths pedagogy.

Led by Kris Boulton, CEO of Unstoppable Learning, the session introduced staff to a powerful vision: 100% maths success, for 100% of students, 100% of the time. Rooted in decades of research into the science of learning, this system offers a complete framework for teachers who want to unlock every student’s potential in mathematics.

Richard Gummery, Director of Secondary Education, Learning Community Trust said:

“This is not just another CPD programme; it is an opportunity to rethink our maths pedagogy to benefit students across our communities for years to come. We are incredibly excited to get started.”

The event was attended not only by maths teachers but also by Headteachers and senior leaders from across the Trust, demonstrating a shared commitment to excellence in mathematics education. Staff left the session energised and inspired, ready to embrace new strategies and tools that promise to make a real difference in the classroom.

As part of the programme, each school has nominated two ‘Unstoppable Learning Champions’, teachers who will receive in-depth training and lead the implementation of key concepts such as Atomisation, a technique that breaks down complex ideas into manageable learning steps. These Champions will play a vital role in cascading knowledge and practice across their departments, ensuring that the impact of the training is felt widely and deeply.

Manny Kelay, the maths lead for the trust said:

”I can’t wait to see the positive difference this training will make to the outcomes and standards for all our students.”

Over the next 12 months, all five schools will work closely with Unstoppable Learning to embed this approach, with the ultimate goal of achieving consistent, high-quality maths education for every student.
