After starting his career in accountancy, Clive found his way into education and held a number of senior roles at Telford & Wrekin Council, including the statutory roles of Director of Children Services and subsequently Director of Adult Services. He was a member of the Telford & Wrekin Safeguarding Children Board, during which time children’s services were judged to be ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.
Clive led the Building Schools for the Future Programme for Telford & Wrekin and several of the schools that benefitted from this programme are part of the LCT today. Clive now provides support to the Department for Education as an Advisor and remains passionate about making the biggest difference to those that are most disadvantaged.
