Director of Education: Primary

About

I bring over two decades of experience in the primary sector, spanning various leadership roles and subjects. I have had the privilege of serving as the headteacher of Hadley Learning Community (Primary), where I led the school’s transformation from a two-form entry to a thriving three-form entry establishment, inclusive of a nursery setting. Having served predominantly in large primary schools situated in areas of deprivation, I understand the multifaceted challenges and opportunities that arise in such contexts. Throughout my career, I have led a diverse range of projects for local authorities and reputable teacher training companies such as the Best Practice Network. This has ranged from spearheading maths interventions projects and leading excellence in teaching programme across schools to leading Local Authority writing moderation. Throughout my career I have engaged in NPQ programmes, including facilitating the NPQ Leading Behaviour and Culture program, where I have encouraged colleagues to foster positive learning environments. As a newly appointed Ofsted Inspector, I will use my experience and training to raise standards and champion children.

In my role as Director of Primary Education, I am dedicated to achieving excellence and equity in primary education within our Trust. I am committed to collaborating with our academies and leaders to foster continuous improvement, uphold our core values, and realise our strategic aims to ensure every child receives a high-quality education, irrespective of their background or circumstances.
