After a long career in the Royal Air Force, Nigel joined the healthcare sector as a Hospital Director at BUPA and then Divisional Director roles at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Aintree University Hospital. This was followed by senior operational roles with the Cheshire & Merseyside Major Trauma Network and Director of Secondary Care for the North Wales Health Board, which included responsibility for women’s and children’s services.
Nigel’s links to Telford began in 2018 with his appointment as Chief Operating Officer at Shrewsbury & Telford Hospitals (SaTH), which included leading the Trust’s response to the COVID pandemic, and now holds the role of Director of Strategy & Partnerships, working with health and care partners across the county.
