After earning degrees in Sports Science and Accounting & Finance Management, I initially pursued careers in sports and banking. However, a year later I felt drawn to education and embarked on a fulfilling journey in teaching. My PGCE, completed through the West Midlands Consortium based at Thomas Telford School, equipped me to specialise in Physical Education. Over the years, I’ve held various leadership roles within West Midlands schools. My diverse experience encompasses Director of Sports Specialism, Head for Post 16, Professional Development Lead, Behaviour & Attitudes Lead, Standards & Curriculum Lead, Designated Safeguarding Lead, and Quality of Education Lead.
In 2020, I joined the trust as Principal of Ercall Wood Academy. Currently, I’m part of the central trust’s school improvement team, supporting schools on their improvement journeys. My responsibilities include standardising data and assessment, developing the digital strategy, and coordinating the professional learning program.
