Role: Afterschool Club Assistant
Hours: 11.5 hours per week, term time only
· Monday–Thursday: 3.00pm – 5.30pm
· Friday: 3.00pm – 4.30pm
What the role involves
You’ll be part of the small team that looks after children at the end of the school day. Your work will include:
· Helping to set up and run a mix of play opportunities and activities.
· Preparing simple, healthy snacks for the children.
· Supporting behaviour in a fair and positive way.
· Building good relationships with children and their families.
· Making sure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
It’s a varied role where no two days feel the same — and you’ll be making a real difference to the children who attend.

· Is confident communicating with children, parents and colleagues.
· A team player who’s happy to get involved and use their initiative.
· Enjoys being around children and helping them thrive.
· Is calm, friendly and positive.
· Is reliable, punctual and able to maintain confidentiality.
