Principal

Thank you for your interest in the role of Principal at Charlton, a fantastic academy located in the heart of Wellington, Telford.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Learning Community Trust (LCT), a strong, community-focused organisation at a pivotal moment in its growth. I am proud to have been a part of LCT since it welcomed its first academies in March 2018,serving as the Executive Principal of one of the initial transitioning local schools.

Since then, I have been fortunate to witness our Trust evolve into a well-established and respected Multi-Academy Trust, proudly supporting primary, secondary, special, and PRU education in both Telford and Shropshire. Throughout this journey,we have built an excellent reputation locally and regionally for delivering high-quality education and fostering strongconnections with local authorities, external providers and communities.

Our Trust is solely focused on the success and support of its pupils, staff, and wider community. To achieve this relentless drive, it has been crucial for our central team to develop at the same rate as our growth in order to support our academies effectively. Our Trust Central Team is a driving force in supporting our schools in areas such as finance, HR, and academyimprovement. It is a team that will support new leaders into our Trust to ensure that all the tools are in place to facilitate aclear focus on education at Charlton.

LCT has a strong identity rooted in its vision, mission, and values. A key pillar of these values is our sense of community. We are deeply committed to serving the Telford and Shropshire area, working closely with families, stakeholders, and wider communities to deliver exceptional educational and enrichment opportunities. Equally, we are passionate about the wellbeing and professional growth of our staff, offering a culture of collaboration, development opportunities, and access to high-quality training programmes.

At LCT, we value the expertise and dedication of our teams. You will work alongside a talented and committed group of leaders united in their mission to ensure that we are an outstanding Multi-Academy Trust for our community. This is an exciting leadership role where you will shape the future of Charlton Academy. You will play a key role in driving a positive culture of success, developing school improvement strategies, supporting staff, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for pupils.

The Learning Community Trust offers an environment where collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do. You will be supported by a strong and experienced team that shares your passion for education and your commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the educational experiences of our pupils, support our staff, and contribute to the success of Charlton Academy and the wider Trust.

Yours faithfully
